N-17, Med. Letters, R4. Mid-grade example of the very scarce N-17, an earlier die state with only the hint of a die crack below 37 of date, the ever present rim break at star 5 apparent. Long reverse die crack from rim below final A in AMERICA, terminating just to the right of D in UNITED. Circulation marks typical of grade.
