Reverse of 1797, Stems, R1. Surfaces devoid of the usual circulation marks found at this grade level though finely porous under magnification. Prominent die bulging on reverse from S of STATES to A of AMERICA and into the wreath. A trifle dark but a well detailed survivor of 1797.
